㊙㊙Sarawak Kolo Mee is a secret gem that is steadily gaining popularity throughout Malaysia in the last 5 years. It is a Chinese style noodle which is characteristically dry, hence the name “kolo” which comes from the Cantonese translation “gon lo” or literally, “dry mix”. Its beauty lies in the simplicity of its ingredients, yet highly flavorful and addictive. Traditionally, it is made with springy egg noodles, topped with sliced BBQ pork (char siew), minced pork, fish sauce, shallots, white pepper, and fried shallots. Hence it is supposed to be really dry! Sometimes lard oil or char siew sauce is added to 'grease' the noodle a little. This has to be the biggest difference from the better known Wan Tan Mee (Wonton Noodle) that uses soy sauce and water as base.

Cooking Instructions
1. Boil noodles for 3-5 min
2. Drain the water
3. Add in toppings
4. Mix & eat
