💖Nyonya Pongteh is one of the signature dishes in Nyonya culture. You will find it in the menu of most Nyonya restaurants. It is truly a creation from blending Chinese traditional bean paste together with traditional Malay cooking ingredients like shallot and other spices. In appearance, it looks like Chinese soy braised meat. In terms of taste, it is more flavourful and fragrant as a result of the spice blend. It is normally braised with pork belly or chicken to create a thick stew. It can also be used for steamed meat and fish.

🤤🍛COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Braised - 120g Pongteh Paste with Half Chicken / Meat and 300ml water. Add potato and mushroom. Let it braise for 45min.
2. For Steam Fish - 120g of Nyonya Pongteh Paste and add 30ml water with 1200g fish
3. For Steam Ribs - 120g of Nyonya Pongteh Paste and add 30ml water with 500g ribs

Size Variation: 120g / 500g.

🙋‍♂️120g is good for 2-3 person per meal. The bigger size is suitable if you have more guest or need to cook for more than 1 meal. For larger size pack, do adjust the ingredients proportionately.
