👉Nyonya Asam is a type of sour-based curry traditionally cooked in Nyonya households. It is also commonly served in Nyonya restaurants. By tradition, it is usually cooked with fish. In Penang, it is usually cooked with stingray. It has a close resemblance to the gravy of Laksa. This could be attributed to the lemon grass and the slight sourness.

🤤🍍Hence, it is not surprising that some households would add pineapple to the stew. Compared to curry chicken, it is slightly sour and refreshing due the different spices used, so don't be surprise if there's no sauce left at the end of the meal.

💖The Spicy Nyonya Asam seafood curry, also fondly known as Nyonya Asam Pedas is one of our favorite dishes to make with this paste. Just talking about it and thinking about the spicy sour taste gets the saliva going in the mouth.

🐟🍛COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Asam Pedas - Add 120g paste to 500ml of water and bring to boil. Add in fish (around 800g for 3 person) and let it cook for around 15 minutes. For garnishing, you can add in some ladies finger and brinjals.
2. Steam Fish - 60g of paste to 30ml water with 800g fish.
3. For Stir Fry - Add 120g of paste and add 50ml water to half a chicken or 800g meat.

🙋‍♂️Size Variation: 120g / 500g

120g is good for 2-3 person per meal. The bigger size is suitable if you have more guest or need to cook for more than 1 meal. For larger size pack, do adjust the ingredients proportionately.

🐟🍛烹饪说明:
1. Asam Pedas :120g酱料加入500ml水中煮沸。加入鱼(3人约800克),煮约15分钟。您也可以添加一些配菜如羊角豆/秋葵和茄子。
2. 蒸鱼:60g酱料, 800克鱼一起倒入30毫升水中蒸熟。
3. 炒菜:120g酱料,半只鸡或800g肉类,加入50ml水拌炒。

120g 可供2-3人食用。如果您有更多的客人或需要做一顿以上的饭菜,较大的包装比较合适。对于大的包装,请按比例调整配料。
